The first thing that comes to my mind when I see gummies like Grüns being promoted — AG1 all over again.

Supplements like AG1 and Grüns offer something we, health-focused individuals, always have a hard time saying no to. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just drink one glass of a suspiciously green drink to get all we need? After all, we all know how hard it is to actually have a perfect diet — there is always something I could do better, eat more of.

But don’t be deceived, most of the time you do not need the latest multivitamin. In fact, spending that money on whole foods is probably a better way to spend your money instead of yet another product targeted to make it easy on you but hard on your wallet.

Are Grüns gummies safe?

While Grüns gummies are considered relatively safe, they should be treated as a dietary supplement, not food.

“The primary is the potential for excessive consumption due to their candy-like appearance. Taking more than the prescribed amount can lead to vitamin toxicity — particularly with fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K.,” says nurse Albert Ogannisyan, RN.

He also highlights that people who have diabetes or other similar diseases should be aware of additional sugars. “Customers should make sure that supplements enhance their diet rather than take the place of entire meals, just like they would with any other supplement,” he sums up.

Grüns gummies offer a convenient way to support nutrient intake, but their high cost and low doses of some ingredients limit their impact. Since they are best used as a supplement to a healthy diet, treat the brand's claims as claims, not proven health benefits.

To improve your nutrition, you do not need to purchase the latest multivitamin. Instead, focus on a whole-food-based diet. This can, in fact, be more affordable and fun: allow yourself to experiment with colorful fruits, vegetables, and other nutrient-rich foods to meet your dietary needs.
